WTVO/WQRF and RRVBC team up to host a lifesaving blood drive packed with perks

The Rock River Valley Blood Center (RRVBC), WTVO/WQRF Eyewitness News, and Anderson Kia are teaming up for a can’t-miss community blood drive on Monday, Aug. 11, at Anderson Kia’s newest location, 4899 N. Perryville Road in Loves Park.

The event invites the community to roll up their sleeves and help boost the area’s blood supply.  Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood, especially during the summer months when donations drop to a critical low.

To thank donors for their lifesaving contributions, the following giveaways will be available:

  • All presenting donors will receive a complimentary Eyewitness News gift bag, while supplies last.
  • Donors will also be entered into raffles to win Kia-branded gear, including insulated tumblers, picnic blankets, cooler bags, and more.

Whether you’re a first-time donor or a seasoned supporter, every donation can help save up to three lives in one of the 14 hospitals RRVBC serves.

Appointments are encouraged but not required. To schedule a donation, visit rrvbc.org or call 815-965-8751. Walk-ins are welcome.
