The Rock River Valley Blood Center is pleased to announce two of its top leaders are moving from interim to official roles for the organization.

Lisa Entrikin, acting interim CEO, has accepted the position of CEO for the blood center. Heidi Ognibene, interim director of operations, has accepted the opportunity to work as director of operations on a permanent basis.

Entrikin brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the blood center industry, having originally started her career with the Blood Center of Wisconsin. She’s been with the Rock River Valley Blood Center for 17 years and currently serves as board president for ADRP, an International Division of America’s Blood Centers.

Ognibene has spent more than 30 years helping lead the Rock River Valley Blood Center’s daily operations. She has an extensive knowledge of the blood center’s history, community ties, and operations that include collections, recruitment, marketing, cellular therapy, and management of the National Marrow Donor Program.

“The depth and breadth of experience and knowledge these executive leaders bring to the table are invaluable and have provided for a seamless transition as we continue to move this organization forward,” said Dr. John Myers, Board President for the Rock River Valley Blood Center. “We are grateful for their proven success, continued hard work, dedication and commitment to this organization.”
